About Genesis Solutions

Built by a practitioner,
not a sales team.

Genesis Solutions was founded on a simple premise: security assessments should be done by people who actually understand the controls they're evaluating — not by tools running automated scans with no human review.

The Genesis Story

Genesis Solutions was founded by Zack Jones after years of performing enterprise-grade security and compliance assessments. The gap in the market was clear: MSPs needed access to the same depth of assessment work that large enterprises receive, but at a price point and delivery model that works for the channel.

Every Genesis engagement combines manual expert review with automated tooling — because some controls can only be properly evaluated by a human who understands the business context. We don't just run a scanner and hand you a PDF. We review every control, document the findings, and give you a prioritized roadmap that makes sense for your environment.

What We Believe

  • Manual review matters. Automated tools miss context. A human assessor catches what scanners can't — misconfigured policies, inherited permissions, controls that pass technically but fail practically.
  • MSPs deserve enterprise-grade work. Your clients' security shouldn't depend on their budget. We deliver the same assessment depth to a 50-person company that a Fortune 500 gets.
  • AI governance is now, not later. Organizations deploying AI systems need governance frameworks today — before regulators come knocking. We help you build that foundation.
  • Transparency over surprises. Fixed pricing, clear timelines, and no scope creep. You know exactly what you're getting before we start.

The Founder

Zack Jones is the founder and principal consultant at Genesis Solutions. With a background in enterprise audit services and hands-on security assessment work, Zack brings practitioner-level expertise to every engagement. He personally oversees all assessment deliverables and maintains active expertise across CIS Benchmarks, NIST frameworks, ISO 42001, and the EU AI Act.

When he's not reviewing CIS controls or writing AI governance gap analyses, Zack is building automation tools with Claude Code, contributing to the security practitioner community, and exploring the intersection of AI and compliance.
